Claire Lloyd's new stamps wooho

Hello

So I have been on a secret mission lol Claire contacted me asking if I would consider making some samples with her new stamps, designed for Paperartsy, "would I" of course, especially when she hinted it was face stamps.

Claire was the person who really got me interested in drawing face last year on the PA blog so I was excited and couldn't believe I had been asked.

I couldn't wait for the stamps to arrive and as soon as I saw them I started to plan what I would do. I also loved the colour scheme which Claire had chosen.

I have so much fun making the samples, I wanted to make more but ran out of time for the deadline. If you get the chance buy a set, the saying are amazing as well and could be used on all sorts of other projects.

Check out the PA blog HERE for details of these and all the other fantastic new releases and of course Claire own blog HERE

Below is a link to the Fab Samples on You Tube

Here are my samples

Covered the whole page with Mermaid, added orchid and various stencils over the top. Paint block colours and cut into various strips and arranged on page. Stamps the cute couple stamp and colour with the full colour pallet in Frescos. Using GP and an arrow stencil I made a embellishment which I covered with a blend of TG. I finished with some on the word stamps, stamps hearts, lace and buttons.

Using a black die cut oval I mixed a blend of limelight and GP and applied through a stencil.I then took a small oval and covered with book paper and frescos. Over stamped with Heart girl and added a few coloured details. I cover the chipboard tag with Limelight, 3 different stencils and completely covered with the dream stamp. Finished with a piece of lace, metal embellishment and a word stamp.

Base coat with snowflake and the blended eggplant and orchid on the top. stamped the cupid stamp and coloured with frescos. Stamped some more hearts roughly and coloured with orchid. I had to use some stickles of the wings and hearts for some sparkle. Finished with a word stamp and pearl gem.

I covered a 6x6 card with Haystack. At one end I added, Limelight, eggplant, mermaid and Orchid drops and kept spraing with water until it dripped and I was happy with the result. I added another stenciled GP and limelight mix over the top of an oval. stamped and coloured the girl (my fav). I decided the turn the paig around so the drips were on there side. Finished with a painted chipboard flower and word stamp.

I want a sort of film strip with this loverly girl stamp. I cover the card in Orchid first and them stamped her. Added a minimal amount of colour and mounted onto a mermaid cover piece of card. Stamped the why hello stamp aaround the edges and finished with an embellishment.

I blended Mermaid and eggplant over the tag and stamped and coloured the 2 girls. Next I used a small dot stencil to add interest and part of the background stamp around the edges. Next I painted a small square using eggplant and cover the front with the background stamp and mermaid. Coloured card the Limelight and finished with a word stamp.

This is my fav design. I cover the card with tissue paper for texture and covered with a mix of eggplant and mermaid. Highlight the raised areas and edges with TG. Crackled a over frame and added the girl stamo coloured with frescos. Finished with some leftover painted strips, stamped words and embellishments

I hope you like them

Fragile Papers - Headband

Paper Artsy have been doing a Fragile Paper fortnight over on their blog see here!

I started to think that there always strength in numbers, so armed with very fragile music paper, magazines and tissue paper I made a start.

I have wanted to alter this plain black plastic head band for a while and the best way to make fragile paper stronger is to use a strong surface.

So 1 torn and stuck papers over the band using golden gel.

Next I made a pile of papers, and used a piece of magazine to adhere to.

This is after sticking had been completed, I added 4 layers in total.

Next I did a wash of snowflake then a wash of toffee to make the colours less vibrant.

I also did a wash of toffee and pink over the band and added the stone effect stamp over the top.

I loved what Lucy Edmundson did with the flowers, so I choose one of Darcy's stamps and cut flowers and leaves.

I added a piece of ribbon and some stamped leaves to cover the join. then stuck the flowers and leaves together for the focal point added some stickels to the center and finished.

Thanks to my model, the ever patient Kayla x

I really loved doing this piece, something different.

Hope you like it and leave a nice comment
